How to make Concentrate EPX Body Cleansing Tea
Note: 4 cups are in a quart . Here I'll help you even more. 1 gallon= 4 quarts
METHOD #2 - To make a Holy Tea concentrate which you can later mix into hot water, or other teas, or fruit juices. This is more convenient way to brew and store your Holy Tea. Start by making just one QUART or 1/4 gallon (i.e. 4 cups) at a time. (A US quart and a metric liter are about the same volume.) You can start by boiling 1 quart of pure water in a saucepan. Remove the boiling water from the heat, then to the hot water add TWO bags of Holy Tea and let it steep for 6 to 8 hours or overnight. Starting with just 1 quart of water will produce a rather dark Holy Tea concentrate which you can later dilute by adding it to other beverages, to hot water, or to ice water.
Since you have made the Holy Tea with only 1/4 of the liquid, it will be 4 times as strong as when made with 4 quarts or 1 gallon of water. So now you will use less of this 4x concentrated Holy Tea - just 2 ounces instead of 8 ounces. Now you can add one part Holy Tea concentrate to 3 parts of hot water or hot tea to make the equivalent of one regular Holy Tea. So to make an 8 ounce mug or glass of regular Holy Tea, add 2 ounces of the Holy Tea 4x concentrate to 6 ounces of hot water or regular tea.
Using this Method #2 makes it easy to take your cold Holy Tea concentrate from the refrigerator and just pour it into some hot water or tea to make a hot Holy Tea. Or you can add 2 ounces of the Holy Tea concentrate to a tall glass of ice cubes, add some sweetener and lemon, then fill with 4 ounces of cold pure water to make a nice iced Holy Tea for the summertime (assuming the ice will melt into 2 more ounces of water). Or add 2 ounces of the concentrate to 6 ounces of apple juice or your favorite juice. When using the concentrate, your supply of Holy Tea bags will last for the same period of time, as long as you use just 2 ounces of the Holy Tea concentrate to make 8 ounces of regular Holy Tea.
With either METHOD #1 or #2, heat pure water in a large saucepan or pot, bring it to a rolling boil, then remove it from the heat so that excessive heat does not destroy the enzymes in the herbs. As soon as the plain water has stopped boiling, or the regular tea has finished steeping and you have removed the regular tea bags (and have sweetened the tea and/or added lemon, if desired) drop TWO of the Holy Tea bags into the liquid while it is still very hot. Always use TWO bags to make a quart, half-gallon, or full gallon of Holy Tea at a time. Adjust the amount of regular tea in the mixture if desired, but do not use less than TWO Holy Tea bags.
Cover the new Holy Tea mixture and let it sit overnight - or let it steep for AT LEAST 4 to 8 hours - to allow the herbs to infuse the mixture. Then, without removing the Holy Tea bags, pour the entire mixture into a container with an airtight lid (such as a Tupperware jug or glass container) and refrigerate your new batch of Holy Tea. Leave the Holy Tea bags in the liquid until you have consumed all of the liquid Holy Tea mixture. Then you can let them dry out, cut open the bags to remove the edible dried herbs, and sprinkle them into various foods such as salads, sauces, soups, stews, spaghetti, or chili.
- You can drink your Holy Tea cold or as an iced tea, or even add it to a favorite juice if desired. Some users add the 4x concentrate to decaf coffee (the “Swiss water process” leaves less chemical residues in the decaf coffee, so it produces a healthier form of decaf coffee). We do not recommend adding your Holy Tea to regular coffee or any caffeinated drinks because the caffeine causes a loss of water in the intestines, which makes the fecal matter drier and harder and more difficult to pass. This would work AGAINST the purpose of the Holy Tea.
- Remember, DO NOT MICROWAVE the Holy Tea or the water! Microwaves can destroy the natural enzymes and render some important ingredients ineffective. If you wish to drink your Holy Tea warm or hot, you can heat it in a saucepan or tea kettle - but do NOT heat the mixture to a rapid boil, for high temperatures can destroy enzymes. Or use the refrigerated concentrate, and just add it to hot water or hot tea.
Your Holy Tea will keep for up to a
month or more in the refrigerator. Keep it tightly capped and avoid drinking
right from the bottle, which could introduce bacteria to the mixture. Some of
the Holy Tea ingredients have antibacterial and antifungal properties, but
avoiding contamination helps make your Holy Tea last longer.
The dry Holy Tea bags should remain
potent and useful for over a year if they are kept in a dry and cool place, but
all herbs will eventually start to lose their potency over time. Do not let the
Holy Tea bags (or any kind of tea bags) get wet or moist, for this can foster
the growth of fungus mould, some of which (like Aspergillus) may create toxins
harmful to humans. Discard any Holy Tea bags which appear to have been exposed
to moisture during storage, for damp paper and plant material can become a
growing place for airborne fugus or mold spores.
